Attorney Fees in Small-Verdict Cases

This paper discusses when attorney's fees may be awarded under G.S. 6-21.1 in civil cases in which there has been a money judgment for $10,000 or less. It explains how to calculate the amount of the judgment for this purpose and identifies the factors to be considered in determining the amount of the fees.
